This self catering Apartment in Edinburgh is available for holiday rentals, business travel or for short lets. The apartment is located on the second floor of a traditional Victorian tenement building and is bright, modernised in a traditional manner, fully equipped and furnished to a very high standard. It is an apartment with a homely, more personalised feel. As such, we do get many returning and long stay guests.
The accommodation comprises:
Double Bedroom 1: A king size brass bed, solid wood double wardrobe, chest of drawers and 2 bedside tables. Corner wall mounted TV/video. Large window with blind and ornate 'swags and tails' curtains.
Double Bedroom 2: 2 single black iron beds, solid wood chest of drawers and bedside table. Large window to rear provides loads of natural sunlight.
Lounge: The Lounge is stunning with large, deep, feather filled sofas, Indian wood coffee tables, coal effect gas fire, flat screen TV / DVD and music system. A large bay window provides an open and bright outlook to the front.
Dining Room: The large Dining / Day Room overlooks a pretty, communal garden and provides a dining table and with 6 chairs. A lovely recessed area contains a sofa, portable TV/video and music system as well as a large selection of books, games and videos. There is a large walk in larder which contains the fridge freezer and food storage area.
Kitchen: The galley Kitchen is fully equipped with all modern appliances - washing machine, kettle, toaster, cooker and microwave.
The Bathroom: A traditional bathroom containing a WC, wash basin and original iron bath with electric shower over.
A single buggy, travel cot, booster seat, potty, changing mat, plastic plates/cups, young children's toys and videos are all available for use.
About the location (Morningside, Edinburgh)
Situated on Morningside Road, the apartment has all the benefits of the local shopping area with many interesting shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and a family run cinema in the immediate vicinity. A Waitrose supermarket and an M & S foodstore are less than a minutes' walk away.
Many and frequent buses run into the city centre, a journey of approximately 10-15 minutes. On street parking is to be found in the adjacent streets.
There are excellent recreational facilities available in Edinburgh including the Castle, Holyrood House, the Royal Mile, the Royal Yacht Britannia, the Kings Theatre and the Usher Hall ( to name but a few) - all of which are easily accessible from this area. For the golfers, there are numerous enjoyable and challenging golf courses in Edinburgh. Whilst a one hour's drive through the beautiful Scottish countryside will take you to the world famous St Andrews Old Course or Muirfield in Gullane.
