Clean & spacious base near city centre

Travelled to Edinburgh for a friend's wedding in a group of 6. The accommodation was exactly what we needed - clean, well-equipped and in walking distance from the city centre. Keys v easy to collect and lots of info & tips shared by the host via email before we arrived. Initially there wasn't much hot water, so a few of us had cold showers. Otherwise this place couldn't really be improved - we loved the use of the gym too!

This was the best accommodation of all our lodging choices! The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were great. Having 7 people in our group of family on vacation and having 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms certainly made the stay more enjoyable. The only problem was the washer/dryer. We did not realize it was all in one, and had no idea how to operate it. There were no instructions with it, so it was trial and error. It was our fault to wait until the last night to do our laundry, so only half was completed. The host was responsive to our needs and gave a list of restaurants and anticipated any questions we had, and the website listing was accurate. The townhouse was close to the train station and within a mile or two of restaurants and other points of interest. I would stay here again if in Edinburgh.

We've just returned from a weekend in Iain's house. The house is great - 10 minutes walk from the centre of town and all the facilities you might need.

We were travelling with friends so there were two families to accommodate but the house is spacious enough that everyone can disappear to their own space when they want to.

The house was very clean and in good working order.

What sets this let apart is the level of service Iain provides for his guests. From the moment we booked he was attentive to our needs, asking who was in our party and how we would like the bedrooms set up. He was eager to ensure we made the most of the city and gave us many recommendations on where to eat and drink.

From text messages on arrival to make sure we were OK to always being on hand to answer any questions his attention to detail was amazing.

A genuine lovely man who really wants his guests to be happy. If only every host could be like Iain.

I booked two properties for a school trip to the Fringe. Iain and his team were more than accommodating in the lead up to, and throughout our stay in Edinburgh. The properties were were situated a pleasant 15-20 minute walk from the Royal Mile. On arrival, we were met by a member of staff who took us through all the important information and any recommendations. The properties were clean and well decorated. Half-way through our stay our bedding and towels were replaced, which was a nice touch. All in all, the success of this accommodation really aided the success of my trip. I would highly recommend these properties for anyone venturing to Edinburgh.

A clean modern Town house providing excellent accommodation. Set in a quite area with easy walking distance to the heart of the city or if needed you can jump on a bus close by to take you there.
Large spacious living room (with large TV & extra dining area if needed) to chill out after a long day & spacious kitchen with all the mod cons provided.
I stayed for 11 days so the washer/tumble dryer was a blessing.
Parking space if needed. But you don't need a car in this city with local transport.
Wifi (always a must) provided.
Local food shops & takeaway shops nearby.
Our party stayed during the Fringe Festival so space was excellent for us all.
The Landlord is first class & awesome. Would recommend this place and give it 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

An excellent holiday home

As a family group comprising 4 adults and 2 children we were looking for a place big enough to accommodate us all for our 2 week stay in Edinburgh.

The townhouse at EH7 certainly did that with 4 bedrooms (2 double rooms, one of which was en-suite, one single room and one triple room) there was enough space for us all. The accommodation is very flexible as the double beds are 2 single beds set up together and so they can be split into singles if preferred.

The large kitchen diner on the ground floor is well equipped with most things required for eating at home and there is good, free wifi throughout the house.

The owner is really terrific, very friendly and considerate and responsive when contacted. Willing to go way beyond the usual level of service expected. Towels and linens were changed weekly and the housekeeper was efficient and friendly.

Located not far from Princes Street (20 minutes walk) and with buses on Leith Walk it is a good location for people visiting Edinburgh.

Travelling as a family group with a mix of generations together is not always easy. Unless you are based here and have Iain look after you from the moment of booking. Iain is a thoughtful and thorough host who has very clearly taken time to think about what will make a difference to visitors. It's things like checking arrival times, offering info on local transport but also asking about the best set up for twin versus double bedrooms.
The apartments are very clean, comfortable and have all you might need for a long weekend or week long break. I've stayed in quite a few self-catering places in the city in my time and these apartments are at the high quality end of the range.
