Great apartment in great location!
Reviewed on Mon, 01 Jul 2024 by Joanne , United States
(Stayed here in July, 2024)
This apartment is close to Prince's street and thus to the royal mile and had everything we needed, even enough places to sit for our friends when they visited (a dining table and a kitchen table and a sofa). The shower etc were fantastic; everything worked well. It was quiet yet close to lots of shops, and to grocery stores and even the tram to the airport.
Our host was very gracious and helpful, we felt lucky to be able to stay here!

Great location and comfy bed

I stayed here for 1 month for a research stay at the University of Edinburgh. During the weekends I could easily discover the beautiful Edinburgh because the apartment has a very good location, in New Town, close to the train station, Old Town, Calton Hill,... Also there is a Sainsbury very close, so that is easy for grocery shopping. The apartment itself is equipped with everything you need; a comfy bed, a dishwasher, a washing machine,... The host was very friendly and available. She also gave a little welcome gift, which was very attentive. I can recommend this apartment to single travelers or a couple for both work and vacation purposes.

Lovely flat in great location
Reviewed on Wed, 02 Mar 2022 by Us Traveler , United States
(Stayed here in March, 2022)
This is a lovely 2nd floor (3rd floor, for US travelers) flat just off Princes Street in Edinburgh. It's been updated with modern comforts but still retains its Georgian architectural charm. The owner is friendly and responsive to questions and requests and helped make my 5+ month stay very enjoyable.
A couple of notes: - This is an excellent location, close to the main shopping areas on Princes and George Streets, as well as St. Andrew's Square and St. James Place. There are also many buses nearby, which is convenient for going into greater Edinburgh.
- The toilet is separate from the shower, and the toilet room is very small. This wasn't a problem for me, but if you are a bigger person, you may want to keep this in mind.
- The kitchen has modern appliances, but some of the cooking pans have Teflon surfaces that are quite scratched.
