Good option for the fringe, but pricing itself out of the market

The accommodation is good. Great convenience with location, kitchen and laundry facilities. The beds are small beds but adequate and the rooms are well maintained. The kitchen area is shared and a bit worn, but sufficient for breakfast or a meal if you want to eat in.
Previously have highly recommended this location, but price jumped about 50% in 2024 with no improvement in the accommodation. Summer accommodation in Edinburgh is difficult to find and so needs to be booked early, which is not possible here. Only listing the price increase after other options have already been booked up is poor.
Could no longer recommend that visitors wait to see if this accommodation becomes available at a reasonable price next year.

If you don't care for air it's perfect.

Very good location, the room with small bathroom is more practical than beautiful and a bit narrow. The bed on the other hand is wide(for 1 person). Kitchen is ok, regularly cleaned. What is really very irritating: you can't really open a window. Just a tiny crack, then it is deliberately blocked. "For your safety" Yeah, I am not a small child who will fall out of the window and the flat being upstairs I don't reckon anyone would use it to come in. What's most annoying is that the crew refuses to unlock the window even if your staying for a long time and just want to let in a little bit of air from time to time. Laundry room is quite expensive (and with no detergent provided) but very good and fast. 24h reception.

Avoid

Avoid staying here if you have to. The most basic of basic, uncomfortable beds, sheets, towels. Paper thin walls - was woken more than once by the joyous sounds of someone else in the flat being sick. Constantly slamming doors throughout the night. Housekeeping came 2 days into my 28 day stay, and were apparently supposed to come twice more but never did?! Fine for a place to rest your head, and I was thankful due to being so tired from Fringe-ing, but otherwise would've really struggled to sleep or relax... and all this for an outrageous price.
