Customer Testimonials Dawn was a great host and from the moment we stepped into her place we loved it. The space was perfect and the beds comfortable. It was exactly like the pictures and description. The neigbourhood felt very safe to walk through at night time and there were shops 4 minutes away including a local supermarket. Overall it was a great stay. Philippa, January 2016
Our experience at Dawn's was great. We would highly recommend staying at her place. It was quite, clean, neat, and cozy. We were about a 20 min walk (mostly up hill) from most of the sights, like the Castle. We had a great experience and we would definitely stay at her place again when we're back in Edinburgh. If you're looking to stay in Edinburgh, we highly recommend renting Dawn's flat! We had an absolutely wonderful stay and would have stayed longer if we could have. Her basement flat is quite spacious and offers all the amenities of home. The bed is very comfortable which made it very difficult to get out of bed in the morning :) The flat is a short walk away from several pubs and coffee shops, so it was very easy to get a morning cup of coffee, or a delicious meal from a local pub (we frequented Bailies and highly recommend it). To get to the sites such as Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile, it took us about 15-20 minutes of walking- we didn't hire a car so having the ability to walk everywhere was very important to us. That being said, it's a very hilly walk so if you're not up for that, you could hail a taxi quite easily. Lastly, while Dawn was away during our stay so we didn't get to meet her, she was very communicative and made sure we had everything we needed prior to our stay. Thank you Dawn for making our stay in Edinburgh so enjoyable! Lauren, October 2015
Loved this place. A really beautiful area, and the room is elegant and comfortable. A comfortable bed like this one makes a big difference on a weekend stay. So useful having a kitchen too, even with so many nice places to eat in the area. This part of Edinburgh is stunning and a welcome haven to return to after a busy day walking around. We had a couple of peaceful hours one afternoon reading, with the wood burner lit and recharged our batteries. Dawn was very accommodating about our late arrival and late checkout, the ideal host.
