Perfect!

Mary and Eric were lovely hosts and responded immediately with any small questions. The flat was perfect, and very spacious for two people. The kitchen was well equipped and we had everything we needed, including washing machine and dishwasher. The sliding door directly outside was very convenient. Great bathroom and shower, and everything was wonderfully clean. The living room is supremely comfortable and allowed for family living nearby to visit in the evenings. The area is utterly safe and surprising quiet, only minutes away from tram and bus routes to anywhere in the city.
Honestly could not have found better accommodation anywhere in Edinburgh. Exceptionally good value. Would recommend this flat very highly!
Thank you ever so much!

Wonderful stay in leith

We had a wonderful stay in Leith! There was so much nearby within walking distance. Parks and walking paths were always nice on a sunny day. Plenty of good food around. Neighbors were friendly. Safety was also never an issue when walking my dog in the area. Mary & Eric were lovely hosts and responded promptly any time we needed them! We wish we could have stayed longer! 100% recommend staying at this apartment.

This apartment is everything in the description and more. Upon arrival you’re greeted by a beautiful assortment of breakfast items. Very warm and cozy. Mary is very diligent in ensuring everything is just right for you and is very accommodating. You feel as you are being welcomed home by family. The entry is easy to access with a lovely sliding glass door which acts a a picture window if you ever choose to rest for the day and enjoy the moments. There is plenty of seating and the kitchen is up to date and modern. All said it was a perfect stay. A perfect base for exploring Scotland. There is free parking which is perfect. I should also mention apart from the ASDA the is a Scot-Mid just around the corners for smaller trips like eggs a small assortment of veg. Perfect if you just need a quick trip.

A great stay

We have loved our stay at Mary's lovely apartment. We stayed for a week during the Fringe. There are several buses and the team within a 5 minute walk from the apartment. It's about a 30 minute bus or tram ride to the centre of Edinburgh.
The apartment has two nice bedrooms with really comfortable beds. A fantastic powerful shower and great living room area with three comfortable couches. The kitchen is also well equipped.
The apartment is very clean and has truly been a 5 star experience.

Apartment was excellent

Mary's apartment is great. It has all you need: the kitchen is very well equipped, the bathroom is spacious and the rooms are quite big as well. It is a great apartment if you are planning to go there to study, to work or to live. There are many apartments on the internet that say they are for two people but they either just have one bedroom or it is very small, but this one is lovely. We spent three great months in it.
The only drawback is that it is quite far from the city centre. Edinburgh is not a huge city so most of the things to do and visit are in the centre, and the apartment is 45 minutes away walking. However, it is a nice walk and there's a lot of buses that get you there. The second drawback, although this one is not that important, is that it does not have a dishwasher, which for some people is a difficult thing to deal with.
Mary is always available in case you need any help, so that is a very good thing as well.
Overall, our stay at Mary's apartment was excellent and we recommend it for anyone going to Edinburgh!

Excellent stay

I stayed at Mary and Eric's flat for a total of four months this summer for an extended holiday. The location is ideal as it is close to Ocean Terminal and the bus stop is just a short 5-minute walk away. It's about a 30-minute bus ride to Princes Street from the flat and is in a very quiet location. Originally, I'd been looking for a flat near/on the Royal Mile, but now that I've been there, I realize how busy and loud it is, so I don't think I would have liked a stay downtown...especially during the Fringe + Tattoo.
The flat itself is on the ground floor and easily accessible. The water pressure is great and the flat is clean. Mary is just a text away and the neighbor Cathy is super helpful if you need anything or have questions about the area. There is an ASDA about a 10-minute walk away if you need groceries and a convenience store even closer.
All in all, I would rate this flat at 5 Stars as it was just a pleasant overall experience. I will be staying here again if I return to Edinburgh.

Lovely flat!

We are two students and we have been living in the flat for the 4 months in total. Everything is fantastic, we have stayed in 3 previous properties in Edinburgh and this one has by far been the best. It is a very comfortable and spacious flat for 2 people, it feels very homely. Each room is equipped with everything you need such as the bedrooms have plenty of bedding and towels provided, the beds are comfortable, they both have big wardrobes and storage units. The kitchen has everything you need (utensils, pots and pans, washing machine, separate fridge and freezer, kettle and toaster). The lounge has plenty of seating, there is also a breakfast bar and a separate dining table and chairs. The shower is really good, hot water always available. The heating is absolutely fantastic, it is extremely easy to use and takes around 20 minutes to heat the flat up to a nice temperature! There is cleaning equipment provided (hoover, sweeping brushes and some cleaning products) which is very useful.
The neighbours, Cathy and Willie, are lovely and are happy to help with any problems/questions. Other neighbours in the building also seem very nice. The area rather quiet and feels very safe, there is plenty of parking outside and around the back of the flat. Supermarket (Asda) is a 2 minute drive or 10 minute walk away, there is also a small co-op at the end of the street for basic supplies. Ocean terminal (shopping centre) is a 5-10 minute walk away. Bus stops are around the corner and takes around 20 minutes to get into the centre depending on time of travel.
Overall the flat is extremely good value for money, the owners Mary and Eric are only a text or email away and will see to problems as soon as possible. We would definitely recommend this flat to anybody wanting to visit Edinburgh and mature students.

Good stay

My wife and I needed a flat for two months so that we could look around Edinburgh and the Surrounding area for a house. At the same time we wanted a bit of a holiday as well. We had a small dog with us. The ground floor flat with its own entrance suited us. The flat was well equipped. It's location was ideal. We had our car with us and parking was available but we usually took a bus. The buses were frequent. The accommodation was as per the advertisement. We enjoyed our two months here. The location was very quiet and we had two lovely neighbours in Catherine and Willie. Would certainly stay again.
