Great location, great house for a large group

We really enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for a large group wanting a weekend in Edinburgh. You could get in and out of the city centre in a matter of minutes. There’s plenty of space for everyone to congregate in the lounge. John the landlord was great in responding to everything and dealing with all our needs. I would certainly recommen.

Great location for the a group weekend trip

Chester St was the perfect accommodation for a group 12 of us visiting Edinburgh for the weekend. Tonnes of space in the beautiful townhouse, with plenty of beds and great facilities. A well stocked kitchen for when we wanted to sort ourselves breakfasts, a large communal living room, complete with fussball table, which saw plenty of tournaments. And the beds (mine at least) were incredibly soft and comfortable, with no problem falling asleep, but perhaps with getting up.
The location was perfect, walking distance to pretty much anywhere we wanted to go, with lots of beautiful streets to see.
John was fantastic, making sure the accommodation was ready for us and had the pleasure of crossing paths with him on the way over.

Wonderful victorian accommodation in the heart of edinburgh

I had a group of 19 friends from France coming to visit for an event (half adults half children aged 5-14). I found this place on edlets and, since their visit, my friends keep saying how lucky we have been. The location is absolutely fantastic, a short walking distance from bus/tram stops, West End and the Dean Village. The accommodation is a fabulous town block, with rooms on four floors. It is spacious and has retained its original Victorian atmosphere, which I think is wonderful. It is a beautiful old building. The kitchen and living room are spacious and functional, including a table football table that the kids loved. The owner John was incredibly helpful and the price is excellent when considering how much it was per person at a busy time of the year (new year). I do agree we have been very lucky to find this place, and I totally recommend it to large groups coming to visit Edinburgh!

Great location, amazing hospitality

My group of 10 chose Chester St. to stay for the end of a week-long golf trip. The host was fantastic, communicating with me up to our stay and meeting our group when we arrived. The accommodation was perfect size and a great location that allowed us to walk to all of the restaurants and pubs we dined at. Host provided great parking info and even procured a hair dryer for the wives! Towels were provided as well (believe the original posting says to bring your own).
If you're looking for a rental near the heart of city centre in Edinburgh, look no further than Chester Street!

Great house and fabulous location
Reviewed on Thu, 25 Aug 2022 by Sarah C , United Kingdom

When we walked in, we were astounded by the sheer size of the property and how spacious it was. I brought a party of ten (older) teenagers to stay whilst we were performing at the Fringe and this place couldn't have been any more perfect for us. It is situated about a 20 minute walk from the Royal Mile, which meant that it was very quick to get there, but quiet in the evening so it was very easy to get some proper rest. On the walk to the Mile, we also passed lots of lovely restaurants, cafes and shops to stop off at. The house has lovely big bedrooms and extremely comfortable beds, bathrooms and separate toilets and a huge living area (including table football, which went down a treat). The kitchen also had room to cook as well as seat plenty of people around the dining table. It was exactly what we needed, and we will certainly be trying to book it again for our next trip.

Great flat in great location

My friends and I stayed at this flat for 3 nights on a hen do. The flat is huge and was perfect for 16 people. It was perfect for our needs, great sized rooms and everything you would need for 16 ladies on a hen do! The location is perfect, 5/10 mins walk to Princes Street. Would stay here again if visiting Edinburgh with a large group of people.

“Perfect for large groups, great central location :-)” We rented this house for Easter weekend for a hen do for 18 ladies. This house was perfect in size to cater for such a large group and in the best location for restaurants and bars. The owner John was helpful from the start and was even there to welcome us when we arrived. The house is huge, the girls were all really impressed with it. I would recommend this house to anyone visiting Edinburgh, its a wonderful place to stay.

Summary of the weekend

very good weekend. The apartment is very well placed. It is 10 minutes from the center. The code to retrieve the keys is fine. This avoids keeping keys during visits. Very large apartment, very functional. The small negative the toilet and sink on the top floor did not work. When we arrived a person was waiting for us and was very appreciative. thank you very much.
