It was a nice stay, and Richard was also really nice with us.The house was really comfortable, the location was excellent and we are satisfied with the facilities in general, although we have some problems with the taps, which are leaking water.

33 regent terrace
Reviewed on Sun, 23 Jun 2019 by Lynne Patterson , Australia
(Stayed here in June, 2019)
We were offered a different unit because the one we had paid for was double booked. We were offered 33 Regent Terrace instead, location was ok. Parking was not 5 minutes away as promised. Still waiting for bond money to be returned. Unit was well appointed and suited our purpose, would have preferred the one we originally booked.

The location of this flat is almost exactly the same distance from the city centre as the flat which Ms Patterson booked and located in one of the most sought out Georgian terraces in Edinburgh. Due to a computer crash and loss of information had been double booked for which I sincerely apologise. With respect, parking is five minutes walk away in the streets nearby. I called at the flat at the appointed time to show where it was but they had already gone though returned an hour later to say they couldn't find a space, the car was then relocated to off street parking for another house I have ,again , five minutes walk away. On checking the street parking I did see spaces and do wish they had waited for me to call or rung my door bell ,as I live above the apartment, to say that they wanted to go earlier. The deposit money has been returned within half an hour of Ms Patterson's request

We love 9 white horse close!

This is the second time I've stayed at 9 White Horse Close. The first time was as a student in 2011. This year I came back with my husband and 3 kids for an 11 night stay (vacation). It was a comfortable, clean place to come home to after a busy day of sight-seeing. We walked nearly everywhere, but there is SO MUCH to do nearby, we didn't even get to all of it. It is especially nice, when you have kids, to be able to buy groceries and cook at home, do laundry and just relax and watch TV sometimes. So many pubs, museums and parks were mere blocks away. Besides the location, the next best thing is that the flat itself is historical, and we ran into a couple of locals who were happy to tell us all about their years in White Horse Close. Richard (the owner) is a busy guy, but he gets back to you quickly and helps with any problems. Don't expect a fancy hotel, but a more relaxed, homey, quiet stay.

Perfect location.

Travelled as a family of 5, 2 adults and three primary aged kids. Visit was for leisure and visiting friends. Pros: Location and price. Accommodation bright, airy and spacious. Perfect for a family or a group of friends. Comfortable beds. Plenty of clean towels. Bathroom had a big bath, great for luxurious baths. Owner responds quickly to phone calls/text messages. Not so great with emails.
Cons: Washing machine and dishwasher quite dirty, mouldy. Took awhile to get the owner to drop off some clean dish cloths/surface cloths. Place could do with a paint and sorting out some loose flooring. The road is cobbled to the back of the property so might be noisy if you had the windows open. Didn't bother us as it was winter, might be bothersome in the summer if it's hot and you want the windows open. Couldn't work out the key safe with the code given to us, but the owner maintained it was the correct code. Never checked that we had the correct code in the first place.
Overall a brilliant place to stay and we would go back. The location is the biggest plus with so much to see and do within walking distance. Finding it can be quite tricky, it isn't very well signposted. You can easily miss both the front entrance and the back entrance to White Horse close, where the flat is situated. Should be fine using a map though and the place to park your car is very close.

Apologies for the washing machine- the out pipe is shared with others in the block and if all used at the same time can cause some back feed and water to get into the machine which is not always picked up, we will keep an eye on this in future.
Rooms were painted last year except for the kitchen with is due a repaint shortly. I think the cloths were delivered within the day of asking and there should have been sponges under the sink. dishcloths are supplied clean with the linen. The house was cleaned thoroughly before the rental (along with all its windows) as is usual so I don't think that general state was bad.
The code seems to work when used, response to the problem was within a quarter of an hour to release the box when asked

I travelled with my friend as my daughter required care from a recent injury so my husband was unable to come, to experience the final week of the Comedy Fringe Festival. We found the accomodation ticked all the boxes for our needs, and would like to thank Edlets for your brokerage and always well presented by your operatives. When we intend to return we will go through the same process as Edlets made it easy and were most accommodating.

Richard was such a wonderful host! And, what an outstanding location. This lovely flat is just a stone's throw from the Queen's palace and a quick walk to the trails leading up to Arthur's Seat. Plus, our family of four was in town for the Fringe Fest and easily walked to venue or could catch an inexpensive Uber to any venue. Plus, to cap it off, Richard was gracious enough to transport and store our, not so small, rucksacks for us at his personal residence until we flew out the evening of our last stay! Thank you Richard for your graciousness. Our family is so grateful!!

We stayed at 9 White Horse Close for six months during our semester abroad and had a fantastic time. The apartment is located in the heart of the city and is well equipped. Furthermore, it is spacious and has everything that one needs. We would definetly recommend staying at this place.

Cracking stay!

I stayed here with another couple and 2 friends. Initially I was concerned whether or not there would be enough space for all of us. Turns out, I had no reason to be concerned at all! The living room, kitchen and bedrooms were all spacious and well kitted out. The bathroom was beautiful also. The one reason I marked down for facilities was the shower was a tad temperamental.
The location is perfect, 15 minute walk from the train station in the heart of old town. There’s a Tesco express 5 minute walk from the flat and the royal mile is about 5-10 minutes walk straight up the hill.
The landlord lives right next door so is on hand for any issues. The keys to the front door are in a secure key lock, therefore any of the lodgers could access the flat at any time. Turns out the cul de sac in which the building is situated is a hidden tourist location, but we were never disturbed.
Would highly recommend and definitely stay again.

This place was ideal for the festival, Arthur's seat much more, and was even an attraction in itself.

Loved the location, and the large space in the bedroom and kitchen

The best part of this apartment is the location. It is on the lower end of the Royal Mile with access to local restaurants, shops, as well as to the restaurants and shops along the mile. It is an easy walk to Waverley Station, and the shops, restaurants, along Princes Street. Calton Hill is easily accessed, for walking, as is Arthur's Seat. As for the apartment itself, the courtyard is quiet. There are two bedrooms, living room area and large airy kitchen. I loved the light from the windows, which make the kitchen bright. The kitchen also has lots of wood counter space, dishwasher, washer. and a table for 6. The bathroom has been remodeled, so even though you are in a quaint older building, the apartment has been updated; the tub/shower is good sized and the water is hot! The larger bedroom has lots of closet space, and is airy and bright. The second bedroom is cozy, and has shelves with books. Both bedrooms have windows and light, with heavy drapes to block light if needed. The living room has windows on one side which overlook the charming courtyard. It also has a dryer, a lovely entrance room, and of course tv, wireless, etc. I loved the place, would rent again if available. The landlord stays on top of things, had a small issue with the heat; he was right there handling it. 5 stars for me.

Hidden gem

The house is located relatively near to all the main tourists attraction. The nearest being the Holyrood Palace (2 min walk) and Arthur's Seat. Also, it's a straight path up to St. Giles Cathedral and Castle. The apartment itself, both exterior and interior, is beautiful.
House is fully equipped and spacious. Although there is a slight miscommunication, Richard is flexible and very friendly.
This is a good stay and we (3 of us) have enjoyed ourselves.
Cheers!
